MAJBOOR ESA KHELVI WAS BORN IN ESA KHEL ON 01 JAN 1935. HE GOT INTERMEDIATE IN FINE ARTS AFTER GETTING METRIC FROM ESA KHEL. HE JOINED PAKISTAN RAILWAY DEPARTMENT AS S.T.E IN AUGUST 1956 AND GOT RETIRED IN MAY 1991. HE WAS FOUND OF URDU AND SARAIKI POETRY SINCE THE AGE OF STUDENT. HE ALSO WROTE POETRY IN THE NAME OF “MAJBOOR ZAHOORI”. HIS POETRY URDU AND SARAIKI HAS A TOUCH OF MUSIC SINCE 1959 HIS POETRY IS TRANSMITTED FROM RADIO STATION MULTAN AND RAWALPINDI. THE VARIOUS SINGERS INCLUDING “UTTA ULLAH ESA KHELVI” SUNG MOST POETY IN HIS TRADITIONAL MUSIC. VARIOUS NEWSPAPER ALSO PUBLISHED HIS URDU POETRY FOR A LONG TIME. HE HAS THREE SONS, DR. ZAFAR KAMAL, IQBAL SAEED AWAN AND MASROOR JAVED. MAJBOOR ‘ POETRY REVOLVES AROUND TOWN LIFE, THE LIFE HE KNEW. HIS POETICAL WORKS ARE SUNG BY LOCAL SINGERS IN SARAIKI
