Zafar Abbas Shah is a seasoned educationist and passionate teacher who has dedicated his life to the service of education in Mianwali, Pakistan. He is currently serving as a Secondary School Teacher at Government Central Model High School, Mianwali, the very institution from which he completed his matriculation back in 1980.
Early Education and Career Beginnings
After completing his matriculation, Mr. Shah pursued a diploma in technical education from the Technical Institute, Sargodha. With a strong inclination towards arts and technical subjects, he began his teaching career in 1987 as a Drawing Teacher at Government High School, Pakki Shah Mardan. His early career was marked by a deep commitment to nurturing creativity and discipline among students.
Pursuit of Higher Education
Despite his full-time teaching responsibilities, Zafar Abbas Shah continued to pursue academic excellence. Over the years, he completed his Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master of Arts (MA) in History from the University of the Punjab (PU). Understanding the importance of professional education for teachers, he also obtained his Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Master of Education (M.Ed) between 2010 and 2017, further solidifying his expertise in educational methodologies and leadership.
Three Decades of Service
Mr. Shah rendered over 30 years of dedicated service at Govt. High School, Pakki Shah Mardan. Throughout these years, he played a pivotal role in shaping the lives of countless students, earning respect for his sincerity, teaching methods, and unwavering work ethic.
Transfer for Family and Continued Commitment
In 2019, he made a heartfelt decision to transfer to Government Comprehensive High School, Mianwali, prioritizing his son’s access to better educational opportunities. This move reflected not only his commitment as a father but also his belief in the transformative power of education.
Return to Alma Mater
In a full-circle moment in February 2023, Zafar Abbas Shah was promoted to the position of Secondary School Teacher and transferred to his Alma Mater, Government Central Model High School, Mianwali. His return marked a proud moment in his journey — from student to senior teacher — within the same institution.
