Isa Khel is one of the oldest Tehsils of Bannu district khyber pakhtunkhwa as Isa Khel was declared as Tehsil in 1880 even before Lahore was which was declared a Tehsil in 1901.Isa Khel Tehsil was annexed from Bannu district and Merged with District Mianwali in 1901 .

Isa Khel. — Tehsil Of Bannu District, Punjab, Consisting Of A Tract Shut In Between The Chichali And Maidani Ranges And The River Indus. It’s Extreme Northern Portion, Known as the Bhanji Khel Country, Is a Wild and Rugged Region, A Continuation of the Khatak Hills. The Bhanji Khel Are an Influential, But Numerically Small, Section of the Great Khatak Tribe, And Occupied Their Present Country About 400 YeaRs Ago. The Tehsil Derives Its Name from the Isa Khel Tribe, A Section of the Niazai Afghans, Which, Settling Here During The Sixteenth Century, Long Maintained It’s Independence Of The Mughal Empire,

And At Last Succumbed To The Nawab Of Dera Ismail Khan. Total Area of the Tehsil Is, 675 Square Miles. Average Area under Crops (1877 To 1 881), 128 Square Miles. Area under Principal crops — Wheat, 35,782-Acres Barley, 11,197 Acres; And Bdjra, 29,320 Acres. Total Area Assessed For Government Revenue, 432,016 Acres; Total Revenue of the Tehsil, RS 6360. Population (1801) 59,546, namely, 53,982 Muhammadans, 5408 Hindus, 78 Sikhs, 60 Persons per Square Mile were 88. Number Of Towns and Villages was 47 out of Which 18 Contained Less Than Five Hundred Inhabitants. The Land holders are mostly Of The Niazai Tribe But During Their Long Residence In The Valley Of The Indus, They Have Lost Their Mother Tongue Pashto, and now use only The Punjabi Dialect of Their Tenants. Tehsil municipal administration isa khel total own revenue for 2010-11 was Rs 2,14,96,920/- which increases to Rs 2,33,64,000/ in 2011-12 budget with total net increase of Rs 19,17,080/- own renenue include following head of income (parking fees , slaughtering house ,tax on boats , phattak fees ,water rate , building fees ,property tax , license fees , rents of shops, bank profit miscellaneous )

TMA isa khel total expenditure for financial year 2011-12 was Rs 16,05,09,012 ,tma isa khel is having 4 x cattle markets (cattle market isa khel ,cattle market kamar mushani ,cattle market kot chandna ,cattle market sultan khel and total income of 4 markets for financial 2010 -11 was Rs 83,26,303/- where as total income of 4 x markets for financial 2011 -12 was Rs 1,07,77,000/-

Water Supply System . In Tehsil Isa Khel 117 water supply schemes exist for urban and rural areas and only 90 are in functional. Most of old rural water supply schemes have completed its functional life. More than 302 work charge employees are working at these water supply schemes.
System of Redressal of Public Complaints
Three complaints cell have been established in each C.O. Units as per following:-

In all these complaint cells, the complaints are received from the public regarding sanitation, water supply, streetlights etc. All the complaints are entered in the complaint register properly and the disposal of such complaints is being checked at 1. P.M daily.
