MOHAMMAD IMRAN SYED HAILING FROM NAURANGA MIANWALI

Hard work in studies and jobs often pays off in various ways. In studies, it can lead to better grades, deeper understanding of subjects, and greater opportunities for scholarships and advanced education. In jobs, it can result in career advancement, increased salary, and personal satisfaction. The key is to combine hard work with smart strategies, like effective time management, continuous learning, and maintaining a healthy work-life balance and same has been done by Mohammad Imran Syed.

Mohammad Imran Syed hailing from Nauranga Mianwali (proud grandson, nivaas of great educationist late Headmaster Atta Muhammad Shah of Nauranga Mianwali) has been awarded by PhD Degree on 15th June 2024 by the renowned Sorbonne University Paris Campus. His happy father Syed Aqeel Hussain Press Attaché French Embassy Islamabad was also present at the degree awarding ceremony to witness among other parents the proud joyful moments.

Imran was born in Mianwali on February 15, 1987. He was brought up in Islamabad due to service of his father. He got F. Sc. Pre-engineering education from Islamabad Model College for Boys F-8/4 Islamabad followed by Engineering degree in Telecom sector from Bahria University Islamabad with 3.57 CGPA and silver Medal for obtaining overall second position in his group.

Afterwards he earned a Master’s Degree in Mobile and satellite communications from University of Glamorgan Wales UK with distinction in his project in 4G. Then Imran returned to Pakistan with the intention to serve the country in Telecom sector but he was never given a chance despite sending his CV to more than 2500 places. He did only small internships in two renowned telecom companies again monthly stipends of rs.4500/ and 7500/ but didn’t lose heart. He also drove car of his father as Taxi with Careem for some time to earn his bread and butter.

After sometime luckily, he got selected for a second Masters in Telecom sector by the European Institute of Technology (EIT) one year in Berlin Germany and Second year in Sorbonne University Paris Campus France. After successfully completing his second Masters, he was selected against only one post of PhD in Computer Networking with scholarship at the same University which he successfully completed in specified period of three years. He successfully defended his thesis on 5th September 2023.

Soon after PhD he was offered a nine-month project regarding installation of 5G for the Fire Brigade Department of Paris which he completed on 30th June 2024 along with his two colleagues. He has been offered another 18 months post-doctorate project relating to satellite communications and is expecting to sign a contract very soon.

His hard work and untiring efforts are an example of inspiration for all youngsters. Imran has dedicated his achievements and success to his maternal grandfather Headmaster Atta Muhammad Shah, his grandfather (real maternal uncle of his father) late Syed Tasawur Hussain ex-Chief Manager State Bank of Pakistan, to his parents, sisters and brother, all relatives, to all residents of Nauranga and Mianwali District and above all to Pakistan.
